The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resemble the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District.

Bahirawakanda temple with the big Buddha statue is a famous landmark which everybody can easily seen from Kandy city. it’s about five minutes drive away from the city center. the statue located in the summit of the Bahieawakanda mountain. from the temple it’s a great view of the city good to spend time in a peaceful environment some steps to climb in the back of the statue.
