This is a little list of some local beaches and what you can expect there.
There are big waves here and it is a popular beach to go to in the summer. Great for walks. You need a permit to park. One can be acquired at the beach office in Orleans.

Tonset Landing is less than a minute walk and looks out into Nauset Inlet. Great for SUP and Kayak launch. The small beach called the "Little Beach" is great to relax on, you can swim at high tide and it is great for little children. No waves here.
