Some of our favorite places in the Berkshires

The Berkshire's has so much to offer that we are never able to do all the things we want. We are still exploring new places and venues but we definitely have some favorites to recommend.
We love the clam chowder but they menu has everything from burgers to fried fish and gluten free pizza. The bar is great.

This is a must. Have lunch or dinner in the dining room on the main level. Or go to the Lion's Den for a casual meal and/or drinks in the basement. Open microphone some nights make it really fun.

Summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Tanglewood brings in the best musicians in the country. You don't have to buy the most expensive tickets. It is lots of fun to picnic on the lawn and see the concerts on the big screens. Take your candelabra and a bottle of your favorite wine.

The Mount was Edith Wharton's summer home. It can be toured for a fee. But the spectacular grounds are free to walk through. In spring and summer there is always a sculpture exhibit on the grounds. Always beautiful. I go several times a year.
