Our favorite Restaurants
Dahab has a lot of restaurants serving a mixture of cuisines. As with any location, some are good and some are, let's say, not as good. So here's the ones we like
One of Dahab's best. Russian kitchen serving a lot of traditional dishes and some. Worth mentioning: Borsch Soup, Beetroot Salad, Smoked Salmon, Pirozhi and Dumplings. Great teas and juices. Last year they began making pizza, which is also pretty good.

The chef here really knows how to cook protein. In our opinion this is the best place in Dahab to get a good steak.
The steaks come with a choice of sauces: pepper, blue cheese, mushroom, dijon mustard or balsamic. All darn good!
Don't worry, there's vegetarian dishes and more basic for kiddies.

One of Dahab's newest and trendiest cafes specialising in Vegan food. The food is so good we're sure even non-vegans will love it.
From the moment you walk in you're surrounded by good smells, great music and a modern decor. The food is really healthy and tasty.
The vegetables are sourced from a nearby organic farm called Habiba in Nuweiba.
We recommend: Bollywood Burger, Thai Me Up Salad and the smoothie bowls.
It's a bit expensive to eat here though.

Lighthouse RoadOne of Dahab's newest and trendiest cafes specialising in Vegan food. The food is so good we're sure even non-vegans will love it.

Athanor is a long established Pizzeria in Dahab. They opened more than 8 years ago now. It's a cool cafe in the heart of Dahab's Lighthouse area serving nice tasty food and really good coffee.
Highly recommend it for meeting people as there's something on the menu to satisfy everyone.

Athanor Pizzeria
Lighthouse RoadAthanor is a long established Pizzeria in Dahab. They opened more than 8 years ago now. It's a cool cafe in the heart of Dahab's Lighthouse area serving nice tasty food and really good coffee.
Highly recommend it for meeting people as there's something on the menu to satisfy everyone.

It's good food, very tasty and wholesome.

It's good food, very tasty and wholesome.

Box Meal is in the same Lighthouse area as Athanor, Red Cat and Laziz Burger. It does really nice Chinese food. We like the Teriyaki chicken and the noodle soup. Really tasty!

One of the closest restaurants to the Studio.
For the price they do very good Egyptian food with generous portions. It's a popular and busy little restaurant which says a lot about the quality of the food. It's a MUST TRY place.

Ralph's been baking baguettes, croissants and such like for 10+ years in Dahab so he's pretty good a it! It's located under Planet Gym, which is convenient as you can just go up stairs to work off that croissant in the Lighthouse area.
Our favorite: Salmon breakfast. Swiss baguette sandwich. Tuna baguette sandwich.

Ralph's German Bakery
Lighthouse RoadRalph's been baking baguettes, croissants and such like for 10+ years in Dahab so he's pretty good a it! It's located under Planet Gym, which is convenient as you can just go up stairs to work off that croissant in the Lighthouse area.

They serve basic Egyptian BBQ chicken with Tahina dip, salad, soup, rice and bread.
There's nothing wrong with basic food when it's this good and delicious. Good prices too!

Scuba Diving
Dahab has many Dive Centers. We suggest you walk around town and choose the center that you feel the most comfortable and confident with.
But here's a few ideas:
This is the closest Dive Center to the Studio. It's the home of Project Azraq which is a volunteer programme aimed at monitoring the Red Sea Reef.
They also organise beach, desert and ocean cleanups.

Things To Do
There's a lot of activities to do in Dahab from Quad Bikes to hiking, scuba diving, windsurfing and freediving .... etc etc.
It's probably best to ask us about all of these things but if you want to organise your own desert trip or mountain dinner and such like, there are a couple of local Travel Agents that can help you out.
The owner and coach, Brian Crossland, is a legend in the Freediving world.
You cannot find a better instructor.
