The atmosphere is full of life, literally, plants and ferns everywhere. I recommend trying the creme brulee latte. Charlie, Sarah, Sam and Patrick are fantastic. They make sure to get the best, high quality products. It's a locally and family owned business. I love them!

I worked here for over 3 years. This place is near and dear to my heart. High quality, locally sourced food for a good price. The beer is fantastically done as well. Live music every night, except sundays. They also do brunch!

This is my go to place for a nice sit down dinner with reasonable prices, also they have live music almost every night. Make sure to save room for the peanut butter chocolate mousse cake, it is to die for.

Love this place! They also have beer togo as well which is always a plus. Though they do not have a kitchen, they do have food trucks that serve DELICIOUS food. Monday's you bring your own food.

This is a very high end restaurant in the heart of downtown. All the food is fantastic, as well as the pineapple Stoli Doli alcoholic beverage (which I believe they call it something different now, but I still call it Stoli Doli.)

They have A LOT of beer on tap, and their taco Tuesday specials are fantastic. I love the buffalo cheese curds, spicy and extremely salty, as well as the hangover totchos!

I absolutely love this place for a quick healthy meal. My go to is the chicken divan pita with the rice and horiatiki salad, and I always have to get a cup of the lemon chicken soup.

Super simple menu and I love the mango smoothie on a hot day. I usually order the panko crusted chicken sandwich and add muenster cheese on top, they have frank's hot sauce available to turn it into a buffalo chicken sandwich. It's delish!
If you have a lot of time on your hands, and a car, this is the place to go. Good food, takes time. They also have a lot of options.

If you are looking for delicious and simple food, this place is wonderful. They have a spicy mustard sauce that they homemake, which is super great if you have a stuffy nose. It will clear your sinuses right out!

This place is hands down my favorite on the list. I have been a weekly frequenting customer since I was in high school. Chau knows me by name and always has a iced coffee waiting for me. Chau knows me by name and always has a iced coffee waiting for me. This is a MUST try while you're in town. My favorite dishes: Lotus Root Salad, Beef Pho, Rice Noodles with Chicken Soup, Hot and Sour Chicken Soup, Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk, Lychee Smoothie. Per my 9 year old niece, best chicken fried rice EVER. Whenever you stop in, make sure to tell Chau and Kennedy that Heather Koblitz says hi! Keep in mind that they are, unfortunately, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Unique tacos and delicious queso! The Flower Child tacos are hands down the best tacos on the menu. I always get 3 of those and a side of chips and queso. The owner is always there, super nice and attentive.

For greasy, hole in the wall BBQ joint this is the place. You have to go to the original location though to get the full experience. I also get the pork place with extra crispy jojo's and fried okra. Their BBQ sauces are all wonderful. I doust my entire plate in it.

This place is super close and convenient, although it is a little on the spendier side, the convenience is awesome. There is also a couple other fun stores and restaurants in the mini mart, as well as a liquor store attached to Silver Lake Foods.

This is my favorite grocery store. Organic products, and a great selection. I love their produce, it's always the best selection in the city and it's right downtown.

When I can't find something at the co-op, I come here to find the rest of the things I need. Which they also have a small organic section. It is a couple miles from the house. There are multiple locations, I personally enjoy Hy-vee Barlows Plaza.

This is in the downtown area. Especially at night when the fountain is lit up with pretty lights. There are also tons of shops right in the galleria to explore as well.

701 Silver Creek Rd NEThis is a great place to go when there isn't too much snow on the ground, unless you brought the proper attire. There is tons of things to do and see around this park. There is a spot called The Lookout, see if you can find it, you'll know when you are at the top of a hill overlooking some of the city. There is a lot of exploring to do here, make it a whole day of hiking and pack a lunch.
This is a fun little lake for hanging out in the summer. There is a volleyball net, a small park, fishing, swimming and tons of space to lay towels to soak up the sun. People also will go ice fishing here in the winter.

This is a gorgeous building. Even if you aren't here for Mayo, I highly suggest you check it out. If you're lucky there may be someone playing the beautiful piano that echoes through the main room. There is also a small history gallery. Make sure to find the glass blown structures, they are mesmerizing!

This is a very old building in downtown. It glows at night and it just beautiful. I would highly check it out. There are also some spots in the building that have history galleries of what was once in the rooms. It's a very fun building to explore if you're in the area.

If you have a car, this is a beautiful place to take the family to. Bring a swimming suit too, they have a small beach/lake you can enjoy. Make sure to hike up top to the lookout tower.

This is apart of the clinic, but the building is beautiful and is a must see. There is also a small museum inside, as well as art and sculptures. If you're lucky, you might get the pleasure to watch someone play on the piano. Don't forget to look out for the glass blown structures too!
