Arts & Culture
The OMCA is an amazing space-- permanent features include a natural resources gallery, a history gallery, and an art museum, and a huge walled garden and lawn. But the excellently curated rotating art and history exhibits are my favorite.
On Friday nights, one block of 10th street in front of the OMCA is closed for Off the Grid- food trucks arrive and a spontaneous dance party erupts with live music and an outdoor. There are art merchants and there is a dedicated craft activity for children. It's over by 9 when everyone gets together and dances the Cupid Shuffle.
I have been a member for 5 years, and have attended events at the OMCA over 100 times, and I am not tired of it yet. ures

The inner perimeter of Lake Merritt is a perfect 5K. It's a great place to run and walk and check out the locals.
