RIde the gondola for an "in-your-face" view of Mt. Rainer at the Summit House Restaurant, great hiking, frisbee golf and more. Riding up and hiking down is a nice way to get some exercise. The Mt. Rainier Gondola opens for the public - with Covid precautions in place - on June 19th.

Hiking and Nature
Several trails lead from our door to beautiful views, the Pacific Crest Trail, lakes and more. We're also about 1/2 an hour by car from the Sunrise area in Mt. Rainier National Park, which has spectacular view of Rainier and many excellent hiking trails.

Henskin Lake
Nice hike about 5 miles round trip from Gold Hills on the NFS Silver Creek Trail.
The view of Mt. Rainier from Tipsoo Lake, particularily in the morning, is spectacular. There are also several very nice hikes which start at the lake. Tipsoo is at the top of Chinook Pass and is a roughly 35 minute drive from Gold Hills.
