If you have a car this is a wonderful day trip, it is a small town where you can view and climb through the "Covetes Dels Moros" - a group of caves made up of around 50 rooms with holes like windows. It is thought these caves would have been formed around the 10th or 11th century.

Very nice, long beach, less crowded and more family friendly compared with Playa Postiguet. Lots of restaurants on the beachfront. Accessible via Tram 4, get off at Loundres stop, return via the same tram (it makes a circle).

You can reach Alicante's main beach via walking (see photo with route) which takes about 15 minutes or by taking the bus which takes about 5 minutes. Take bus number 02, to get to the stop turn left out of the apartment and then take the first left, the stop is a few meters away on the right side of the street. Returning from the beach pick up bus 02 on the main road in front of the beach.

El Postiguet Beach
