Similar to Lock 72, this restaurant offers the linen cloth table seating on one side of the restaurant, and a more casual bar scene w/booths and TV's on the other. The food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Reservations for the booths on the bar side seem to go quickly.

This restaurant sits directly on MacArthur Blvd and right across the street from the entrance to the C&O canal. During the Spring, Summer and Fall months, the restaurant offers outdoor seating which makes it extremely convenient to all those coming off the trail. The food is very good and the indoor experience is slightly more upscale (linen cloth dining tables) versus that of the outdoor seating venue.

The C&O Canal is a stones throw away from our home and offers many access points up and down River Road or MacArthur Blvd. It is NOT to be missed while you stay in this area.
