The absolute best ramen you will ever have. Ask for the shiitake mushrooms and a spice bomb -- you won't be disappointed. It can be hard to get a seat here, so you're best going early (11:45am or so for lunch and 5pm-ish for dinner). If you can't get in, try their sister restaurant Bantam King -- it's around the corner and normally has shorter wait times.

1511 17th St NWAmazing fixed menu for a fair price. This is the much more affordable offering from the same people own Komi, a perennial contender for top DC restaurant. Union Market is just a short walk from our home. It's a great place to grab a casual drink or meal, and has tons of options. We especially like Takorean (Korean tacos), Rappahannock (oysters), Buffalo Bergen (breakfast sandwiches), and Trickling Springs (ice cream). Also, try Bidwell (American/southern), which has made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list two years in a row! Note, Union Market is closed on Mondays.

We especially like Takorean (Korean tacos), Rappahannock (oysters), Buffalo Bergen (breakfast sandwiches), and Trickling Springs (ice cream). Also, try Bidwell (American/southern), which has made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list two years in a row! Note, Union Market is closed on Mondays.
