Great pizzas, fantastically friendly staff, lively atmosphere, good value, nice wine! Lollo's is busy almost all of the time, so worth booking although they do accommodate drop-ins if they can. Evenings can get noisy later on when they usually have a singer, lunchtimes are great to sit upstairs and watch the world go by on Morpeth High Street.

Probably not for those who like the more rough-and-ready sort of pub, but Morpeth has lots of them too luckily (check out the Tap and Spile on Manchester Street).

Don't miss Rutherford's on Bridge Street, a family-run department store with a lot to offer, and a great tea shop where you're likely to meet Mr Rutherford himself overseeing the operation.
