If you can get a table on the riverside balcony it is worth it. This pub boasts the "smallest bar room in the world". It is historic, small and quaint but I avoid it on weekends as it is impossible to get a table outside - unless you are willing to start early! Saying that, if it is raining, the front room is very cosy.

25 Upper MallIf you have walked to this pub from "home" you deserve a gold star. You have walked along the wonderful Chiswick Mall (real estate envy) and this particular pub has a great terrace. Nestled by Fulham Palace (yes, there is a palace), the park is a good size with lots of nooks. Its riverside row of London Plane trees is perfect. There is a dedicated a great space for families with children that you can avoid if you wish, but it is lovely to see. It is a good place for a picnic.
