Drinks & Nightlife
A brand new Brewery in the area. They have good brew and beer - a kind of cafeteria like setting with picnic tables and they serve basic bar food. They have fun local events so look them up online for pictures and schedules or if you just want to go hangout out and drink with others.

This is a local Bar hangout with Food and a pool table they sometimes have bands play in the back and there always seems to be a after work crowd there. Good beer, easy place to hang, good burgers. The outside is always painted something different... ( the locals call the place Cargo). We're still not sure why they changed the name...

Really - you can't possibly miss this sight-seeing. Everyone does it and it is out-of-the-movies views of New York. You've seen it thru Hollywoods Eyes but you have to do it on your own to get the Badge. When you get off the Ferry It's about a 10 minute walk thru Wall Steet to the Entrance. The walk over is about 45 minutes if you don't stop and when you get to the other side, don't just turn around and come back - Nope you have to go down the stairs, turn right or left depending on which side you come down on and head a couple of blocks to the Water. This Neighborhood is called DUMBO.... explore and then you can take the Subway back - joust a couple of minutes right to Wall Street..

This is right off the Ferry on the Manhattan side. It's amazing Park system along the water - you can ride a bike (Amazing dedicated Bike Paths) or walk for Miles - there are all kinds of activities as you walk or ride along with some of the most incredible views of the NYC/Hudson River.... Everyone should go here and explore the city from here!! There are Tickets to Ellis Island, Boat Tickets for the Harbor, Kayaking, Piers with Restaurants/Bars, Piers with Sports Centers, Trapeze Artists, Miniature Golf.... the list goes on and one of my favorite things to do is Grab a CitiBike at the Ferry Ride all along the Water up to 14th Street, Cross the Street into the Meat Packing District........

This is a forgotten little Photo Museum of Alice Austin - it was also her home...Alice Austen (1866 - 1952) was one of America's earliest and most prolific female photographers, and over the course of her life she captured about 8,000 images. A rebel who broke away from the ties of her Victorian environment, Alice Austen created her own independent life. This is for the EXPLORER the views along the waterfront of NYC are unique and rarely seen by Tourists
