Food scene
Great southwestern style food. The location recently moved to uptown, and provides the same great food and service as the prior location. Some of my favorites are the smoked pork cheeks, the buffalo mole poblano, and of course the amazing Elote! (but I will have to say we have tried almost everything on the Menu and never been disappointed)
update, they are now a reservation only restaurant and book weeks in advance, but do have an online booking system! Well worth the effort! I also hear you may get take out as well but I highly recommend trying to get a reservation to dine in the restaurant.

If you find yourself in Camp Verde, I would highly recommend planning your day to include a reservation to Moscato! With top notch service, and amazing house made food, you definitely cannot go wrong here. Reservation are a must. I had the Pescatore, and it was delicious, as was the warm homemade focaccia.

Hiking Sedona
I made my first trip to Sedona in early 2000, I was clueless to the many many trails in Sedona for hiking. Or even that there was hiking for that matter I went on a helicopter tour! The helicopter ride was amazing but, boy did I miss out!!
I once read 130 trails, I am not certain of how many, most are day hikes and they range from Easy to Strenuous and I have yet to find one I did not love! My husband and I hike daily while in Sedona with our beautiful Springer Spaniels. We always try to find a new trail every trip and often do the same trails over and over. I have yet to get tired of them and always feel like I get a different view or perspective on the same trial! Hope you enjoy your hikes as much as we do!! *just a friendly suggestion go early and take plenty of water!! #happyhikers

With that being said, if this is a must do hike for your Sedona visit, I would highly recommend going around first light, parking will be better and the crowds will be less.

Sugar loaf is a great trail beautiful and an easy hiking option in Sedona. Very picturesque with great red rock views. This is also a great hiking alternative to reach, Devils Kitchen Sinkhole, Seven Sacred Pools and Soldier Pass Cave. As parking at Soldier pass is quiet limited. As always I recommend going early and packing plenty of water! Enjoy as this one is quite beautiful!

Sugar Loaf Trailhead
2065 Buena Vista Dr Sugar loaf is a great trail beautiful and an easy hiking option in Sedona. Very picturesque with great red rock views. This is also a great hiking alternative to reach, Devils Kitchen Sinkhole, Seven Sacred Pools and Soldier Pass Cave. As parking at Soldier pass is quiet limited. As always I recommend going early and packing plenty of water! Enjoy as this one is quite beautiful!

This area is one of our favorites. Keep in mind you will need a high clearance vehicle to reach the parking lot to access the trail head. From here our favorite hike in the area is to go right on to the hog trails vs following broken
arrow. (there are connecting hog heaven, high on the hog and hog wash) Hiking in a circle connecting over to twin buttes back to the parking lot! We have also done Broken Arrow around to the hog trail then down twin buttes any way you do it your sure to enjoy this area. Hike is moderate, as always I suggest going early and taking plenty of water! Enjoy maybe I will see you out there!

Sightseeing
This is one of my favorite ways to spend the day!! An old mining town with some beautiful views and history. The grounds have the original housing for the doctors, the enlisted men, married couples, etc. It is very well kept and a great way to learn more about how the American Southwest came to be as it is today! Located in the picturesque to of Camp Verde and great way to spend the day!
This town is picturesque and enjoyable, not to mention so much to do! With so many adorable shops, great restaurants, a small casino, and so much history. One can definitely have a fun filled day! Approximately 35 minute drive from the house well worth the trip!
