Amazing, gorgeous, beautiful, any time of year. I also love nearby Natural Bridge, where the Rogue river flows underground for a spell.

A fantastic scenic drive along the Rogue River, Galice hosts a little store and restaurant w/ great burgers.The Galice resort is also the place to rent a raft for some summer adventure on the river.

Not just pizza, though: they have some amazing sandwiches, and a variety of fire roasted chicken wings. This is a family run affair. There's a second location serving New York style pizza next to the Weekend Beer brewhouse. check them both out

Hiking
This hike along the Rogue River is a 2-3 hour round-trip hike. Moderately difficult and very rocky, steep in some areas, culminating at Rainey Falls, more of a cauldron than a waterfall. Highly recommend.

The trailhead for the Whiskey Creek Cabin trail is at the Grave Creek boat launch on the Rogue River.
The hike to Whisky Creek cabin follows a portion of the Rogue River Trail, a well hiked trail often used by anglers to access the river for salmon and steelhead fishing. This is part of the scenic Rogue River corridor with tree covered slopes and many views of the river. The distance from the parking area to the historic cabin is about three miles of moderately strenuous hiking.
