We love to drive to the top of Pilot Mountain State Park and walk the 0.8 mile path around the Pinnacle. There are stairs and hills so a moderate hike. The views are beautiful, including a view of our vineyard from the east side of Mountain.

Three places to be sure to see the Bakeryo get Moravian cookies, eat at The Tavern and visit the cemetery. Gods Acre cemetery is unique with the tombstones in chronological order instead of by family. The cemetery has separate sections for men and women and is very peaceful.
