Aka Hans' place. Low key backpacker vibe where the "local" foreigners hang out. Friendly service, low prices, cold beer. And so much more.

Restaurante Escondido - local restaurant

Check out the only local indigenous owned and operated restaurant in town. Food is delicious, inexpensive, and you are supporting the villagers directly. Little to no cell service, no wifi. Head up the main path, look for signs to the left. Kids will happily show you were for a couple Q.

Bistro Indigo

Beautiful restaurant right on the water by the public dock. You walked right by it. Sit and look at the lake, eat great food (a hint of Iranian flavors in some dishes) served by friendly local women. Great típico breakfast. Wifi.

Restaurant - Tres Tendores

At the main intersection in the village is a newer red restaurant on the corner - Tres Tendores. It is operated by some locals that went thru the cooking school program in Santa Cruz. I've enjoyed the food, especially the pizza recently. Open Thursday to Sunday I believe. Message them at 46159197
