McCloud is a nice, quaint town about 15 minutes away off Hwy 89. There are some good restaurants there. Also McCloud Falls to hike to and swim in. Worth the drive. Axe and Rose is great. Also the McCloud Meat Market is very good. Don't let the name fool you!
