Ryke’s Bakery has been a culinary crush in West Michigan for 85 years. Their Butter Thin cookies, delectable donuts, and custom cakes and cupcakes are a must have. They are conveniently located so close to the Watch Us Go Bungalow, it's almost too good to be true. (2 minute drive.) If sweets aren't your thing, no worries they also serve salads and seasonal favorites.

El Tapatio has been voted Best Mexican food in Muskegon for their authenticy. If you love homemade tortilla shells, tamales, deep fried tortilla chips, homemade salsa, and fresh guac, you are going to love El Tapatio. They are only a 4 minute drive from the Watch Us Go Bungalow. (Be careful leaving out of their parking lot.) It's a lil tricky. Check local listing for hours.

They recently expanded and got a new location, so don't be alarmed if yhe building doesn't look like the one in this photo.

Lake Harbor Park is my favorite waterway in Muskegon. Located at 4635 Lake Harbor Road. A brief walk on a trail leads to a majestic view of a channel of Lake Michigan that is sure to take your breath away.

The Hackley Library is a historic library that features Louis Millet stained glass windows, beautiful architecture, masterful murals and much more.
It was a gift to the school board from lumber baron Charles Hackley ( philanthropist) to the City of Muskegon Public Schools and has been open since 1890.
The Hackley buiding has wheelchair access and an elevator for all to enjoy their diverse collection of books.

The most awesome thing about this sports park is that they have adaptive sports equipment so that people with all abilities can participate. (just 19 minutes away)

The staff is super kind and ultra accommodating. I love to order their Cheeseburger Salad. It is one of my favorite go-to meals while in West Michigan. They offer made to order salads, wraps, and smoothies and also have a grab & go section. If you are seeking vitamin supplements, spices, gluten-free, dairy-free, organic produce or allergy free items, Health Hutt is the place to be. (Only 9 minutes away.)
