My favourite walks and views in wells

If you go to the end of Northfield lane eastwards you will get too the old railway bridge, go over this down the track and past the allotments on your right and you will see the northpoint flood bank, if you follow this east you can walk towards Stiffkey the next village along the coastal path and more. It’s a lovely walk and follows the salt marshes and coastline.

An amazing beautiful beach renowned for its beach huts and backed by pinewoods.Parking can be expensive and in short supply it’s about a 1 mile walk from the quay along the beach bank but Holkham should soon be running an electric bus back and forth.

A lovely large village green surrounded by pubs, trees and Georgian buildings. A great quiet place to have a few drinks people watch and let life just drift by.

Walk down to the east quay down jolly sailors yard and see the old fisherman’s houses and boats in the harbour, turn left at the bottom will take you to the main quay turn right and keep walking it will take you to the whelk and crab boiling houses , then onto northpoint flood bank It’s only a few minutes walk from Windbreak.
