RSPB Bempton is a 5min drive or an easy 45min country walk away from our cottages. It’s home to tens of thousands of seabirds including the famous puffins! There is a lovely cafe with outside seating overlooking the cliffs and the RSPB centre has kids packs, binoculars and wheelchairs to hire. Great walks, amazing views and skies filled with birds. A great day out! (Entrance fee to visitor centre if not an RSPB member)

A delightful Grade 1 listed house in a spectacular setting close to the cliffs. You can relive history at Sewerby Hall, explore the wonderful gardens and spend time in the zoo which is home to Lemurs, meerkats and the world’s oldest living penguin Rosie 🐧 . There are lots of events held here all year round so check out the website for details and entrance fees.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens
Church LaneA delightful Grade 1 listed house in a spectacular setting close to the cliffs. You can relive history at Sewerby Hall, explore the wonderful gardens and spend time in the zoo which is home to Lemurs, meerkats and the world’s oldest living penguin Rosie 🐧 . There are lots of events held here all year round so check out the website for details and entrance fees.
Flamborough head has a stunning lighthouse situated on beautiful heritage coastline. There are miles of coastal walks in
both directions from here and the chance to see birds, seals and even the occasional dolphin pod! Parking is available at the lighthouse and there is also
a cafe and ice cream stand here too. Flamborough village is nearby with some great little shops and a wonderful dog friendly pub with great home cooked food called Seabirds. (Very popular so we’d advise booking). Amazing spot for all the family.

A lovely stately home with small zoo area and wonderful shire horses to see. Great walks available around the gardens and a tea shop and store with fantastic ice cream. Close by is a great pub called The Triton so definitely head there for a pre or post visit lunch. Book in advance as it does get busy.
