Every 3rd Weekend in March on the only true white water river in Missouri, the St. Francois river. This is located at Teiman's Shut Ins off Hwy 72 going East apx 8-9 miles. Its a good hike from the parking lot but a very colorful event with kayakers and canoeist from all over this and neighboring states.

Every May and October, usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend of those two months. Featuring bluegrass and other country style music by noted musicians from all around. Takes place on Ironton's historic Court House Square

2nd weekend of May. to be exact it will be held May 14/15, of 2022. This is held at the Shepherd Mountain Bike course in Arcadia valley/ Ironton MO. our newly opened and highly ranked Mountain bike race course which just opened in 2021. Very Exciting event to see and a great time to be here!

Always held the 2nd weekend of June on main Street and the Court House Square in Ironton, Missouri. A most FUN Event with fabulous food and fantastic boogie down music. bands from STL and as far away as Nashville have been on the venue. Always top notch music and BBQ. BBQ Contestants can win big in this sanctioned event!

Don't forget our eclectic and wonderful shopping stops all up and down Main and Russell Streets. The Cove, with specialty olive oils and vinaigrettes, cutting boards, spices & coffees from New Orleans. Our hand made specialty Soap Company on Main street with fabulous soaps, lotions, potions all made there. Next door are jewelry shops, our Boulder Books that features one of a kind collectibles, The Country Bouquet, my favorite flower a shop, with many many great gift items. Across the street is Lovely Lilley's Dress and clothing store next to our favorite Barbershop, The Sit-N- Bull

All close to the Dragonfly Save a lot is off Hwy 21 apx 5 miles north on hwy 21 by the Iron Mule Bar & Grill Town & Country is off Main at Hwy 21 Junction Rubles Meat Market is only 1 mile from the Dragonfly. has the best smoked ribs to be found anywhere including deli, all cuts of meats for grilling or breakfast, farm fresh eggs and a variety of other items. Next door is The Green Thumb with plants galore and fresh veggies in season. Both just off Hwy 21 as you come up tip top to the Inn.
