Drive or walk
Havana is nestled against the river and used to have major train traffic. The town is split by highways and former railways turned roads. While there are not side walks everywhere it is safe to walk almost anywhere.
You cannot cross the bridge that goes over the river on foot, it is illegal.
We do not suggest walking along 97, 136 (also Laurel - East side of town/Dearborn - West by the bridge/Thorntons) or 78 due to the busy nature of these roads.
