Country living requires cars.
There are plenty of towns and hiking trails, historic sites, orchards and restaurants to check out and you will need a car to have all that fun. Very limited bus and taxi service -- no uber!

Southern Vermont has plenty of hiking trails and the Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association is a great resource to find a perfect hike and breathtaking view.
