This is the "center" of Santa Teresa. It's actually a street block filled with bars and restaurants. Lot's of people around on the weekends. At saturday nights, live samba. There is also a cinema.

This is a wonderful, small beach on the very limit of Rio municipality. It's quite far so be prepared to leave early. Best reach by car thought there is a bus that can take you here.

The Imperial City, former summer home to the Royal Family in imperial times. Interesting museums and nice architecture. About 1 hour from Rio by bus, makes a good day trip, if only to scape the heat.
