116 S Pecan StGo hungry! This cute little diner located on the brick streets in downtown Nacogdoches serves one of the best breakfasts in town ALL DAY! (You've got to try their blueberry sausage!) But if you're not in the mood for breakfast, their sweet sourdough burgers are extremely tasty, too.
The food here is spectacular! Their fish tacos and the Stuffed Chicken Roulade are amazing! It is a bar, so the noise level is a bit loud for soft conversation.

If you are craving good, fried food, then look no farther! Sam's fish, shrimp, and crab cakes are amazingly delicious! Their red beans and rice and coleslaw are delicious, and you CANNOT leave without desert! This place is tasty!!

This eatery is owned by the same people who own Dolli's Diner, so their burgers on sour dough buns are excellent. They also serve fresh-cut potato fries that are out of this world. There are other menu items that we love, but you just need to go try it yourself.

Naca Valley Vineyard
9897 FM 1878This place has a super chill, casual vibe to it. Live music is provided on the weekends, and Andy's Wood Fired Pizza has amazing food! You MUST try the flourless chocolate cake!!! My husband really likes the Blueberry wine, but the winery has several options you can taste to help you pick your favorite. The owners are super nice, and the drive from our cabins is lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Even though this unique coffee house offers drive-thru service, you owe it to yourself to enjoy a specialty coffee and one of their delicious muffins in a comfy chair inside or out on their patio. Support local university students from SFA, too!

The tiny town of Rusk is about 35 miles northwest of us, but it's home to one of two depots for the Texas State Railroad. This is especially fun at Christmas time when they host their Polar Express rides. A true treat for kids from the ages of 2 to 92!
