From Bannack State Park, there is a cutoff that drops you right at Grant, MT. where the Horse Prairie Stage Stop is easily found.

Bannack was the first Territorian Capital of Montana Territory and is a true preserved ghost town. This state park is open seasonally, with information available at the visitor's center. Bannack State Park is located in the southwestern area of Montana. Take I-15 south of Dillon to exit #59 (Highway 278 exit.) Drive west on Highway 278 for 18 miles. Turn south onto the Bannack Bench Road and travel four miles.

Elkhorn Hot Springs is a year-round hot springs resort which offers two outdoor hot mineral pools, a Grecian sauna, a restaurant, and a bar. Guests enjoy hiking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, plus downhill skiing at nearby Maverick Mountain.
