Beautiful dog friendly beach with parking just south of Aberystwyth Harbour. There's also a longer circular walk called 'Nanny goat's path' which goes to Rhydyfelin. Tan y Bwlch is also at the foot of one of Aberystwyth's most iconic sights 'Pendinas'.

The castle site is a great place to relax and enjoy views across the town. Admission is free and access from the town is very easy.
It is a ruin, but a tower and several large sections of wall remain. Cromwell dismantled the castle 1649.
