The Aufderheide scenic drive is a 145 mile paved road which connects Westfir to the McKenzie Hwy (US126). Popular among rode bicyclists and car travelers. The drive parallels both the North Fork of the Willamette River and the South Fork of the McKenzie River, with views to cascading streams and large, old growth Douglas fir trees. Fill up your gas tank and enjoy fishing holes, hiking trails, picnic spots and scenic viewing. Visit the US Forest Ranger station on Hwy 58 for maps and information. Hwy is accessed from the Office Covered Bridge in Westfir 3.5 miles or 8 minutes from Terraces to Heaven.
