A Firefly Sanctuary has been established at the bottom of Torquay Ave in the car park between the 2 beaches. It is wonderful to go down there and watch the fireflies! They are not that keen on wind and rain but are very active most nights

Mac Banana's is a delicatessen and pancake house situated on a banana farm and is worth visiting (preserves/cheeses/fruit/olives/wine etc). There are also some lifestyle shops and child-friendly activities (farm animal viewing, Sedgeway and Quad bike tours, paintball and butterfly dome etc). You’ll see the signs on your way to Leisure Bay from Durban (it’s about 10 mins drive from the house).
