If you are going the whole way, make sure you have the proper gear, enough water, and are prepared for the 7,000 foot elevation gain.

Barr TrailThis is a beautiful trail that will take you all the way to the top of Pikes Peak. It's 13.1 miles one way. You can go half way, still get a great work out, and visit Barr Camp. If you are going the whole way, make sure you have the proper gear, enough water, and are prepared for the 7,000 foot elevation gain.
This is rated as moderate difficulty, a 7.6 mile out and back trail. Only 1,600 foot elevation gain.

Not for the faint of heart. 3.6 miles and 1,900 for elevation gain. It's a hard work out but a lot of fun if you can handle the change in elevation. Take Barr trail down the back side of the mountain, it's not nearly as steep.
