Travel with light luggage
because in Rome there are a lot of stairs and not so many lift.
Also at tran station is quite difficult to carry heavy luggage.

In the neighborhood of St. Peter there is the usefull train station to go to Trastevere, to Ostiense or to Termini.
Then in Trastevere you can change the train to go to Fiumicino airport.
