They have a chicken or steak that is covered in a peach sauce that I know sounds odd but is really good. More on the expensive side. I would not bring kids. More suited for adults who want to dress up from boots and jeans.

We have known the owner, Dolores, for a long time. If you’re in Julian, I highly recommend the drive to Lake Cuyamaca. Besides home-made pies, she makes lunch and dinner and you can dine on the deck with a view of the lake. You can also go walking around. If you want to go fishing, you can rent a boat and do so.

15027 CA-79We have known the owner, Dolores, for a long time. If you’re in Julian, I highly recommend the drive to Lake Cuyamaca. Besides home-made pies, she makes lunch and dinner and you can dine on the deck with a view of the lake. You can also go walking around. If you want to go fishing, you can rent a boat and do so.
More great pizza but a little drive out of town. Just down the hill in Wynola. Kid and dog friendly.

I took my kids here when they were 12 and 8. They loved it. There is an observatory sized telescope and the owner is very knowledgeable and gives an entertaining and informative tour.
