It's a small cultural hub up here offering a continuously changing schedule of many programs for adults and kids, from art classes, history readings, a knitting movement, it goes on and on. A creative mainstay of our gentrifying hood.

Parks & Nature

There's a dock Columbia University provided to the public. It's really nice! Just before that is the field where you can throw a birthday party, pitch a tent for the afternoon or just feed the geese and stick your toes in the muddy edge of the Hudson River.

It's an all natural, not man-made planned real forest! Some trails connect to Fort Tryon Park which leads to the Cloisters. You could spend the whole day in there!

Entertainment & Activities

There's a poor side and a rich side of these 2 side by side docking/fishing areas. We visit both and sometimes eat at the restaurant, fly kites on one of the docks, stick our toes in the sand and occasionally have splashed in the river. In the summer there are sometimes 2 swans who come to visit.
