“Tremendous views from Island in the Sky in this national park. There many things to do here: hiking, biking, jeeping, canoeing, rock climbing, or just sightseeing. The White Rim trail is a multi-day adventure with a mountain bike or off road vehicle. Canoeing the Green or Colorado Rivers another multi-day adventure.”

“32 miles from Moab, Dead Horse Point State Park is one of Utah’s most spectacular state parks. The view from Dead Horse Point is one of the most photographed scenic vistas in the world. Towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, the overlook provides a breathtaking panorama of Canyonlands’ sculpted pinnacles and buttes. Millions of years of geologic activity created the spectacular views from Dead Horse Point State Park. Deposition of sediments by ancient oceans, freshwater lakes, streams and wind blown sand dunes created the rock layers of canyon country. Igneous activity formed the high mountains that rise like cool blue islands from the desert below. There are miles of pet-friendly developed hiking trails in the park, including a paved trail which provides easy access to some of the most scenic views. Mountain Bikers will love the new Intrepid Trail System at Dead Horse Point. With slickrock sections, looping singletrack, sandy washes, and incredible scenery, the Intrepid Trail System provides a great taste of what Moab mountain biking is all about. This is the perfect ride for families and offers spectacular views of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park.”

“Capitol Reef National Park is one of Utah's best-kept secrets. It's not as well known as Arches or Zion, but Capitol Reef is arguably Utah's most diverse national park, with natural beauty, unique geological features, astronomy, human history and pre-historic fossils. If you visit the park June through August you can pick fruit from trees planted by pioneers. Hickman Bridge is a great hike. ”

“Smithsonian quality local artifacts. The Museum is adjacent to a large Puebloan ruin... hence the name of the ruins and museum. Don’t miss this. !”

“Water! The lake is declining and in a few years more than likely will not be around. The sights are great and the lake is fun.”

“This is one of five local parks in Blanding. Blanding is truly one of the best places for families as we have one park per 600 residents. This is the park in the center of town. It has swings and slides but mostly, it has amazing grass, great picnic tables, and big, beautiful trees. Is an excellent place for a picnic. ”
