Experience the real Brooklyn with me! Most people want to visit Brooklyn but don't know where to start. I am here to change that: I will show you five completely different faces of Brooklyn, in five different neighborhoods. You will see how diverse Brooklyn truly is when I show you classic Brooklyn brownstone architecture as well as the 'hipster' side of Brooklyn, street art and vintage shops, hidden bars, amazing Manhattan views, an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood and grand historic homes.
This is a weekly improv class appropriate for all levels (including beginners) taught every Wednesday from 8-10pm and Sundays 5:30-7:30pm. The focus will be on scenework, which is considered long-form improv comedy. -- Are you a bit shy and looking to get more comfortable with your public speaking? -- Are you a working professional hoping to be a bit more spontaneous during your meetings and interactions with co-workers? -- Or are you an actor or improv comedian looking to take your craft to the next level or get more reps? Then this is the class for you! In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of scene work (role playing). You'll be on your feet quite a bit as I'm believer that you learn (and have more fun) through doing rather than hearing an instructor talk. Brief individual notes will be given, if that's what you're looking for, and tailored to your level of experience. At the end of each class, I'm confident you'll feel a sense of accomplishment that will leave you more energized and excited to tackle the challenges of everyday life, whether at your work place or in your personal life.

Brooklyn Bridge Tour, but with yelling
So, uh, why does New York build "really, really big things?" We tend to do that a lot. This is a fast-paced & funny walking essay that explores the answers to that question through the story of the Brooklyn Bridge. And to do so, we have to look the historical stories of immigration, engineering and political machines. With this tour, we use the bridge and it's bloody, weird history to get a deeper understanding of what is not only New York City, but what makes any city a city.

Havana Nights with Flan, Rum, & Dominoes
The idea for Havana Nights is super simple: To bring strangers together in a culturally authentic way that demonstrates the power of "cubanidad" for creating meaningful connections. What does that mean? That means we'll be experiencing a typical get-together in 1950s Havana, where doors were always unlocked and everyone was invited. Here's what's on the itinerary: 1st - I'll show you how to make a mojito and a Cuba Libre, two traditional Cuban cocktails whose origins date back to late 19th and early 20th century Havana. 2nd - I'll teach you how to play Cuban dominoes. For us, "jugando dominó" is a traditional pastime equivalent to playing cards or poker. 3rd - We'll enjoy my abuela's secret-recipe flan cubano. The age-old family recipe comes straight from Cuba and will literally make your mouth water. Finally, no Cuban "pachanga" (party) is ever complete without authentic Cuban coffee no matter how late at night it is. I'll make you some and show you how it's done!
We will meet at the Metropolitan Museum, at the 81st Street "group" entrance, just after the security check in. I will be sitting on the brown benches. We will talk for a few minutes to connect and meet each other. Then we will proceed to an appointed area of the museum to sit for awhile in front of a masterpiece. There may be several locations that we move to, this all depends on your intentions for this adventure and what gets designed. We will move into a deep meditative experience, journeying into the artwork to invoke visions, healing and connection through the combination of your imagination, the art work and the artist. We will have an interaction with the art work and the world around WHILE the Reiki is happening and hands are being "laid" upon you so you can receive the energy. From this point, anything can happen...past lives, conversations with the artist, deep healings and clearings and yes, maybe even some tears. Sometimes I will touch you, sometimes not. You may be writing things down, or drawing, or just listening. The Reiki energy will be turned on the entire time. This adventure is about 2 hours total. This is a co-created experience and one of a kind!
This experience details why the Chinese, Irish, and Italians immigrants arrived on our teeming shores. This tour also focuses on how the Chinese, Irish, and Italian exiles became the backbone of New York. The men would build the bridges and the tunnels. The women would be cooks and maids. And their children, raised in the values and language of their new country, would weave themselves into the tapestry of America. This is the story of US. We will visit Chinatown, Five Points, and Little Italy on this 2-hour fun-filled excursion. This tour is designed as a relaxing entertaining family experience. Not for someone doing research or writing a thesis on immigration.
Welcome to the Holiday Drinking and History tour this December!! At our second location, we’ll explore the catalysts behind Prohibition and focus on the women of the Gilded Age, and the movement that gave rise to an oil king. We’ll celebrate the holiday season here with decor taken to the next level and lots of holiday themed cocktails and food. Statue of Liberty Tour Pedestal Access
We'll meet at Battery Park, at the southern tip of Manhattan, and make our way to the Statue of Liberty. Designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, this iconic copper statue was built by Gustave Eiffel and was dedicated on October 28, 1886. We'll continue to Ellis Island, opened in 1892 as a federal immigration station before closing in 1954. We'll have a fully escorted visits to the Statue of Liberty with Pedestal Museum, Ellis Island, Wall Street, the Stock Exchange, and the 9/11 Memorial Pools. We will also visit the National September 11 Memorial—it's the principal memorial commemorating the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001, located at Ground Zero—the former location of the collapsed Twin Towers. Either I will be your guide, or you'll be with another New Yorker who will tell you their 9/11 stories as you visit Ground Zero.
Behind the Scenes of Liberty Statue
Do you want to have a unique experience and at the same time learn about one of the most important monuments in the world: the Statue of Liberty? We will include priority, reserved access to the islands, guaranteed entrance to the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty and the National Museum of Immigration on Ellis Island. Once there you will get close to the Statue and have some time to know more about it, the island and the importance that both have had during the history of the city. You will also have the opportunity to ascend to the 6th-floor pedestal observation deck on Liberty Island for amazing views of New York Harbor and of course the iconic Manhattan skyline. On Ellis Island you will learn about the journey of the millions of immigrants who passed through the island from 1892-1924, arriving in America, in search of a better life.
We'll pick you up from the Pickup Location in a vintage car from the Jazz Age. The driver of the car will be in full 1920's gear, and will talk through the history of how Manhattan came to be, and will point out different pieces of what made the city so great over time. During the journey, our 1920's playlist will be playing in the background for some cool ambience, and you'll get to select a 1920's accessory to don during your experience! We'll start at the base of Central park, travel around Columbus Circle, and past Carnegie Hall. The tour then takes you through the heart of Times Square and passes right at the base of the Empire State Building before hitting the midpoint of the journey at the Flatiron Building. We then loop back towards the starting point by riding up Park Avenue, traveling through the tunnels above Grand Central Terminal, and heading back via the Diamond District. The tour concludes back at the base of Central Park.
