In the Heart of NE Portland's Alberta Arts District is my turn of the century carriage house. Expertly renovated from a 1912 era horse barn, this cute cottage is one bedroom, one bath, with a living room and kitchen. Cottage next to a tranquility pond and summertime garden. Short walk to many restaurants, shops, pubs and music venues.

Portland's Alberta Arts District. Portland's best pedestrian friendly neighborhood. Within a few blocks walk from restaurants, shops, bars, and music venues.This is a very eclectic and fun neighborhood. My cottage is behind my bungalow style home, in a unique garden setting close to a garden and pond. Outside the bedroom window is a pond that cascades water over rocks. The cottage has a private bedroom with a brand new queen sized pillow top bed. The kitchen and living room are both in a larger open space. One new couch, easy chair, and TV with basic cable completes the living area. There is a dinette table with 3 chairs near the kitchen area. The kitchen area will have self serve hot hot tea. There will also be a very basic set up for light cooking, fridge, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, wine glasses, corkscrew cooking/boiling pans will be available. This is for tourists, visitors, and business travelers seeking short stay, rent by the night options. There is no smoking in the cottage, and most of the grounds. However I do have an outdoor area on my courtyard deck that is a covered pergola were guests 21 and older can smoke tobacco or legal Oregon cannabis. My garden has open ponds and tall trellises that are dangerous for children to play on or around. Non smokers can also enjoy the covered pergola space as an outdoor dining space, afternoon solarium or for late night beverages. My entire estate is fenced in and dog friendly. The host has greyhound named Honeybear that may roam the fenced in grounds. Honeybear is sweet, friendly, and shy. Guests traveling with one dog are welcome to bring their canine companion on their visit. PLEASE check house rules on dogs before booking. My guest cottage has recently been renovated with new hardwood floors, new tile in the bath, and new low VOC paint. My summertime garden is Oregon progressive and may have cannabis plants growing in the yard between June and October every year. I do not accept bookings from guest under 21 during this time. Please do not book guests with minor adults between June and October.

Guest can wander around all the outdoor areas of my estate. Enjoy the tranquility pond, stroll thru my many raised garden beds. Guests can use the courtyard deck, and sit under the covered pergola feature anytime, early morning, afternoon, or very late night. Guests have all access, to all the inside areas of the carriage house cottage

This is a unique Portland experience for those who seek the real inner city feel of my unique city. A simply eclectic neighborhood with a soul. Good eats, good drinks, good entertainment a few minutes walk on Alberta street. This is a place were single guests, couples, can feel at home. All guests from all backgrounds should feel welcome; conservative or liberal, non smoker or smoker, garden lover or casual drinker, sports person or extreme couch potato, everybody is welcome. This is a very private setting, fenced in and set back far from the street. The cottage is AMAZINGLY quiet, almost like being out in the country. A nice place to relax, and enjoy a very nice Portland Oregon visit that you will want to come back to again. I am a value location, I never charge for housekeeping. It is now law ALL Portland AIRB&B's must have a permit to be legal venue. I proudly display my permit information, as well should all legal Portland AIRB&B's.
