Octagon shaped jungle tree house hidden away deep inside the oldest rainforest in the world. No luxuries here, but all the basics are provided; basic kitchen, composting toilet, open air hot shower, some electricity, and awesome rain forest views. You have a basic kitchen to prepare your own meals and there's cafes around the corner for breakfast or other meals. Cassowaries often spotted around this treehouse.
The rate covers 1 or 2 guests in the queen bed.

This is not a purpose built tourist resort cabin, this is a genuine jungle treehouse built by and for the Daintree locals where you can have a genuine back to nature jungle experience. Marvel at the night time sounds, and enjoy the awesome views from the back veranda.

The jungle treehouse is surrounded by rain forest and walking trails to explore, as well as a small seasonal swimming hole in the beautiful creek behind the house.

This is a jungle stay, you may encounter harmless wildlife. There are virtually no mosquitoes, and we do not have any poisonous animals in this forest. There are no windows but for comfort we provide a 'mosquito net' around the queen bed.

Our town is a small settlement of less than one hundred permanent residents, off the grid with no services like electricity, water, sewerage, mobile phone signal. etc. There is Wifi available in several places around town for those who can not to digital detox. The rain forest runs right down to the pristine beaches and even in the busy season you can still find plenty of space to yourself here.

I was born in NSW, grew up mainly in South East Qld. I have lived in Brisbane city and for 7 years in Charleville in Queensland's outback. I also lived in Toowoomba for 20 years. I came to North Qld a few years ago and have recently taken over the management of the awesome Rainforest Hideaway. I enjoy meeting the many International tourists and locals alike.
