Avalon Diamond
You will find a three story house on a double lot in the most central location you can have on the Outer Banks. Often a central location comes with noise, traffic and congestion, but that is not the case at Avalon Diamond. We are located on a side street that does not directly connect to any main road. Kids ride bikes and scooters and play safely here. This space is an entire floor of a house, which is the classic AirBNB setup. Completely independent with private entrance in front and also a private entrance to the back yard. There are chairs and a table in the fully fenced in yard. In front you have a dedicated patio with seating for 4 around a glass top wrought iron table and cushioned chairs. under sparkling lights. It's a great place for dining, a zoom call, or just hanging out!
The king bed in the Master Bedroom is super comfy with four king pillows of 2 different softness types. The mattress was installed in 2021. The Master is a private space with a dresser, two side tables with matching lamps, a bright floral armchair, and a desk with chair and computer monitor. There is a modest 32" LCD smart TV for binge watching in bed! Above the bed are 2 matching dual whisper quiet and lighted ceiling fans with remote-control operation. That helps out if you forgot the sunscreen!
There is a Queen Murphy bed in the living room. The living room has a 32" smart TV with DVD player. We have a DVD library with 52 popular titles that can be brought in upon request The murphy is also super comfy and like the master was installed in 2021. This murphy bed is gravity-lowered and in the down position still allows plenty of living space. In the UP position it functions as shelving with local décor and NC lighthouse art in distressed frames. You decide if you want it up in the daytime or not. The art in the living room includes local scenes in montage There is a compact dining table with two full size chairs, two more compact folding chairs can be found in the closet. We OBX folks make the most of these spaces as we share this little sand bar island.
We have beach chairs, boogie boards, a beach umbrella, etc. for your use. 2 cruiser bikes at your disposal. And for the adventurous we have a bike- trailer that can be outfitted for a beach day for up to four people. Avalon beach is a local treasure. The best surf and sand beach, fishing and wave-riding is right here.
If you have a dog, we have a large fenced in yard for your dog to explore, and we have our own dog that does not mind sharing it-or just going for neighborhood walks since the yard is part of the private Airbnb. Avalon is the best dog walking location! Our pet fee is a flat rate $100 per stay. A second pet is $50 flat rate per stay and will be charged via resolution request.
You can go to a different restaurant close-by every day if you want. There is a wine store, coffee café, and tie dye custom shop right down the street all a short walk and dogs can come. Your host has recommendations and some discount coupons too!
Your host is the owner of a shrimp boil business. If you like shrimp we will boil it up for you, no charge. the traditional OBX shrimp boil includes local caught shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and plenty of seasoning. Although we are New Orleans schooled we do it more in a Baltimore style, with a little OBX flavor. Lets get the boil on!
The kitchen has a stovetop, full-size whisper quiet GE refrigerator, GE microwave, Hamilton Beach K-cup coffee maker (k-cups are also provided), black + decker toaster oven/air fryer and much more (even a Hamilton Beach margarita machine). Linens, towels, shampoo, soap, paper products are all included and we have a drawer of stuff you might have forgotten. We even have some K-Cups in the butcher block drawer to ensure that you get your coffee on when you wake up the first morning of your Outer Banks getaway!
