I discovered Cedar Key five years ago and returned numerous times as renters. I am thrilled to now own a cabin, named 'Cruising Altitude,' and welcome you as our guests.
Everyone who has flown knows that when you reach cruising altitude, you can sit back, relax and roam about the cabin. Cruising Altitude came from the joint backgrounds of two military aviators. It depends on who you ask - his preference for cruising altitude in a Marine helicopter is 500 ft, but hers in an Air Force aerial refueler is closer to 35,000 ft. We agree that our joint favorite is 800 ft, which is where you are standing here at Smith Mountain Lake’s water level.
To me, our cabin is much like flying – there is a sense of peace and quiet and solitude. Our home here is the closest we can come on the ground to matching the amazing view from our cockpits.
This cabin has the distinct advantage that Canine Copilots are eagerly welcome.
