A bright, airy flat in the heart of Kowloon with private access to a scenic rooftop. Right in the center of Kowloon, you will experience an authentic local Hong Kong living style in Ya Ma Tei, like a re-enactment of Wong Kar Wai's "Chung King Express". The flat is clean, cozy and definitely a decent choice at an economical price, great if you don't mind walking stairs!

The apartment is on the top (8th) floor of the building with NO elevator, but it gets bright as you go up and the flat itself is bright and spacious once you get there. Please be sure you are okay with stairs –– I personally find it a good exercise routine and I hope you don't mind that too!

It is important to note that the flat is on the 8th floor of an old, walk-up building. The building itself is a bit run down with a dim entrance however it gets brighter as you walk up, and finally bright and airy once you get to the flat! My guests have told me that the beautiful rooftop is worth the hike!

Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok, and Jordan are among the areas with the longest history in Hong Kong. Traditionally, it is a lower-income zone and densely populated, but it also means that you can find a more authentic local culture on this side of the city. My apartment is right next to the Temple Street market and very close to a tin-hau (goddess) temple. Also, Kubrick cinema/cafe is nearby if you feel like something cultural. There are also tons of good restaurants and local dessert places around.
