Our dorm rooms feature bunk beds with premium mattresses and a privacy panel between the beds. Don’t worry about bedding or towels – we’ve got you covered. Some rooms are designated male or female-only for those who prefer a bit more privacy.

Our skyline views are the best and we’re just a couple of subway stops from Manhattan and Brooklyn. There are many restaurants and activities within walking distance from The Local. ****Important updates regarding the COVID-19 situation****
The Local has remained open throughout the crisis with limited operations. Reception is currently open between the hours of 9am-1pm and 3pm to 8pm. Please time your arrival during these hours. If that is impossible, please get in touch with us prior to your arrival.
Front door access will be controlled by doorbell and PIN. We will give you the PIN when you check-in. Please use the doorbell when you arrive.
Our cafe and bar services are limited to coffee during the morning reception hours and beer/wine in the evening hours and a takeaway bar on the weekends.
****Your health and wellness are our priority****
At The Local, we are taking steps to reduce any risk to your health - Surfaces are disinfected daily using sanitizing solutions designed to eliminate viruses, bacteria and other illness causing germs. Our linens are professionally laundered off-site at high temperatures. We've increased cleaning protocols related to high-touch surface areas. All of our rooms are equipped with sanitizing spray for hard surfaces.
Although a hostel is a communal environment, there are aspects to preserve some separation between guests. All bunks have dividers providing a physical barrier between guests. Each room has its own private bathroom – with sink, toilet and shower. All rooms have individual ventilation systems. We firmly believe in socially distancing in your sleep and are assigning beds so that guests are as spaced out as possible.
