Welcome to Mambembe!
We are normally a Backpacker's hostel but due to the current COVID-19 situation we are looking for a few long term guests who would like to spend the quarantine in a nice and spacious 1920s building situated in the picturesque and historic neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. The house as a garden and several balconies and terraces from where you can enjoy the beautiful view of our neighbourhood.

Mambembe is situated in a three story building. On the first floor we have all our common areas such as the shared kitchen, living room with TV (Netflix etc), dining room, reading room and two outside areas.

During the quarantine it's recommended to stay home which is why we can help you order food from supermarkets or restaurants online. In order to due some basic shopping there is a super market and a fruit market a five minute walk away.

I am from Switzerland and have been living in Rio de Janeiro for nearly 8 years now. I own tow backpacker's hostels, one in the city of Rio de Janeiro and one on Ilha Grande, a beautiful island about 4 hours from Rio.
