The Bush Hideaway is located in the small seaside community of Binalong Bay, offering a unique combination of a beach shack in a bush setting. Our eco friendly accommodation is conveniently located within an easy 2 minute walk to the world famous beach of Bay of Fires. The untouched coastline is known for its white sand, turquoise waters and fiery lichen licked boulders. It is perfectly located for exploring the coastline, swimming, fishing, boating, bushwalking & relaxing.

Please note that the second bedroom of this property is only accessible via an external door outside it is not connected within the rest of the house. To access the second bedroom you must go outside and downstairs so please considered if this is suitable for you before making a booking.
The Hideaway is a cosy beach shack on a bush block that backs onto the local Humbug nature reserve. It boasts a rich array of bird life and white tail possums. It is within an easy 2 minute walk to the main beach Bay of Fires. Other areas of interest close by are skeleton bay, grants point and elephant head.
The Hideaway is a beach shack that offers a cosy open plan lounge/dinning area for guests as well as a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave, toaster, kettle, wine fridge).
The main bedroom is on the upper level featuring a king bed and its own private deck overlooking the ocean.
The second bedroom is accessed on the lower level by the main deck. It has two single beds and one double. There is one large bathroom that features a large spa overlooking the bush setting.
Other things to note:
The local area has no town water supply. We rely on rainwater to fill our tanks. We ask that you please be mindful of your water usage during your stay.
The largest town near the Bay of Fires is St Helens, so this is a good place to stock up on food, alcohol, and assorted other supplies before you arrive. There’s an IGA, BWS, a bakery, and assorted other shops.
There is poor mobile reception in Binalong Bay (Telstra is the main service provider and can still have poor reception), so it’s a good idea to do most of your research and planning before you arrive.

The town of Binalong Bay is a small beachside community situated at the southern end of the picturesque Bay of fires. Binalong bay is famous for its powder white sand and turquoise coloured ocean with iconic large orange lichen covered boulders.
