The Chestnut Room, located in our Garden Cottage, is named after the grand Chestbut tree in the back garden. It is spacious with a queen and single bed for an extra guest or child and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied. A private reading area is also available for use outside your door. Continental breakfast is included in the price and provided as room service.

Our Chestnut Room located in the Garden cottage has river views and pool views. A sofa, perfect for reading and planning your days, is located in the entry of the garden cottage surrounded by our gardens, and is a shared space with our Oak room.

Our guests have access to their room and our garden. We also have a guest laundry available to use at $2 per load for washing machine and dryer. A clothesline is also available.
A BBQ is also available - please let us know if you would like to use it and we can show you how to use it and provide crockery and cooking utensils.
Our pool and kids playground are not for guest use.

Alexandria is located on the banks of the Inglis River and river walks providing access to Fossil Bluff and Beach (25 minute walk); a 6km bridge to bridge circuit and walk into town (25 minute walk).
We are 2 minutes drive from town and 5 minutes from Table Cape Lookout and Lighthouse (and Tulip Farm when the tulips are in bloom in September and October).
We are 15 minutes drive from Boat Harbour Beach (voted in top 10 beaches of Australia), 20 minutes from Burnie, 45 minutes from Stanley and 1.5 hrs from Cradle Mountain.
Alexandria is the perfect base to tour the North West Coast of Tasmania.
