Casa Petra is a very unconventional house nestled in the characteristic alleys of Modica, consisting of a ground floor and a mezzanine floor.
It is a very original and unique house: some of the walls were in fact carved out of stone, and in some rooms you really can experience to stay inside a cave.

On the ground floor there is the dining / kitchen area (one step to climb), with a dining table, sofa and a super-equipped kitchenette, the bedroom with a queen size bed, bedside tables, mirror and a niche for storing your belongings, and then comes the very special en-suite bathroom with shower stall made entirely from stone.
Also the second bathroom is carved in stone.
A wooden staircase leads to the mezzanine, on which you will find a comfortable double sofa bed and from where it is possible to access the terrace with table and chairs, which boasts a beautiful view of the historic center of Modica.

The house is located in a well-served pedestrian area, so it is not possible to get in front of the door by car, however it is possible to park nearby.

The Church of San Giovanni Battista and Palazzo Bertini can be visited in Ragusa Ibla, while in the unique city of Modica there are the Cathedral of San Giorgio, placed on the Iblean upland and the Church of San Pietro, in the valley. Last but not least, the small and medieval Palazzolo and the baroque capital city of Noto are worth a visit, thanks to their vivid streets and noble buildings, such as Palazzo Ducezio.
