The Bee Hive is an idyllic retreat and is ideal for a couple. It's lakeside, located in the woods & is the perfect place to escape to. It's well equipped has easy access to many walking trails, swimming, canoeing & taking in the breathtaking local natural beauty.
It has its own private deck that captures the best sunsets whilst you contemplate what to BBQ, whilst sipping your favourite drink.
Open year round, we have an automatic generator and are a pet, child and smoke free facility.

The space is designed for a 100% self-catered stay, is private, has 1 bedroom, with a sitting/TV area, a well equipped kitchen & breakfast bar. It has its own entrance, and has a good size deck with your own private BBQ & camp fire (fire wood can be purchased from us).
We have Netflix and a CD player with a small collection of films.
Built for the 2019 season, we accommodate a maximum of 2 guests, and are ideal for a couple.

The Bee Hive is located on Ponhook lake and is surrounded by woods. Wildlife is a daily occurrence ! Guests may use the Bee Hive's private deck (solely for their use) and access the lake either from our dock or from the many access points close by.

We have 3 dogs on the property, a Labrador and 2 Yorkies. We are not able to accommodate any visiting pets.
Our space is aptly named as we have a bee hive. We inspect our bees weekly. If the timing is right and if the weather is cooperating, you are welcome to join me on a hive inspection (protective equipment can be provided), all interaction is entirely at your at own risk).

We are located in rural Labelle, so your own transportation is essential. We are a short 10 min drive from Greenfield. This is where you can find Stew's Convenience a great local source for groceries, alcohol and fuel.
Further afield is Bridgewater (30k), Annapolis Royal (60K), Rissers (35k) and Carters (50k) beaches, Lunenburg (45k), Halifax (100k) and Chester (60K). We are a 2 hour drive from Stanfield International airport. Our South Shore location is perfect for exploring what beautiful Nova Scotia has to offer.
