Santa Teresa, with its cobbled streets and bonde (tram) is a unique neighbourhood in Rio. There are bars, galleries, artistic shops and restaurants and frequent shows of live music. We are positioned just a few minutes from Largo das Neves, a picturesque square with restaurants and bars. You can even walk down to Lapa in 5-10 minutes if you're confident with the directions or take a cheap Uber. (Lapa, with its famous arches, over which the yellow tram passes, is the heart of the samba scene / nightlife.) You can stock up on provisions from 3 different supermarkets just 5 minutes downhill and use the kitchen.
