This loft style apartment comprises the entire first floor of one of Nelson city's architectural icons. It is open to all Airbnb guests but primarily intended for Jens Hansen clients who are purchasing or consulting to have jewellery made. The accomodation cost, up to a maximum of $400- is refundable off a purchase of $1000- or more at Jens Hansen. Other T&C apply the offer does not cover the Ray Mitchell, Weta, or Ole Lynggaard brands.

Bowman Building (1961)
Designed by Alex Bowman to house his own architectural practice, this is a fine example of the priorities and aesthetic of early 1960s. The materials, simple and unadorned, include concrete block, poured in-situ concrete, steel-framed windows, tiled floors, cedar beams and rimu tongue-and-groove ceilings. On the ground floor, a small retail space fills the space below the real reason for the building – the lofty, light-filled studio. This is a real gem of its era that is still in a marvellously original condition.

Guests have access to the entire first floor of the building as well as a dedicated toilet & wet area shower in the building stairwell.

Inner City Location
The apartment windows are architecturally original and single-glazed and there can be street and road noise especially on weekends.
Wifi
There is free unlimited high-speed internet, and a large screen tv with Chromecast that you can use to watch your laptop, iphone, ipad, android device content on.
Kitchenette
Tea and coffee making facilities and a sink, refrigerator, microwave and benchtop oven are provided for your convenience.
Bathroom
The wet area bathroom is Parisian atelier quirky! To get the shower to make hot water flow more strongly run the hot tap at the sink before you turn on the shower and leave it running slightly. There is a bathroom heater behind the toilet. Use the squeegee to scrape up the excess water to the drain at left of the toilet. There is a microfibre cloth if needed to help with this also. Hang the cloth on the balcony so it is dry for your next shower.
