Our home is located in Feltzen South: a very quiet village 20 minutes from Lunenburg and Bridgewater and 10 minutes from the LaHave Ferry. We have a beautiful beach 2 km down the road and access to many more gorgeous beaches all within a 30 minute drive. Our property has 16 acres of forest trails and access to the ocean. Our stunning views look across the harbour to the towns of Lunenburg and Blue Rocks. Our road is part gravel, part paved and is perfect for biking or walking or snowshoeing.

The space is a self contained apartment with walk out and separate entrance. You will have complete privacy....unless you feel like having a chat with us - entirely up to you. There is a 'kitchenette' in the space, but please note there is no sink or stove so the space is not really set up for a long term stay where you would want to cook meals. We provide coffee, tea, water, toaster oven , coffee maker, kettle, dishes, cutlery, etc: and basic ingredients for a continental breakfast etc and there is a bar fridge in the space if you want to buy a few groceries or snacks.. There is one restaurant close by open for breakfast all year -the Rose Bay General Store (5 minute drive) and a second in The Ovens Park (The ‘Ol Miner Diner)that is open in summer...and lots more if you want to drive to Lunenburg or Mahone Bay. We also have a fairly extensive library of books which we don't mind sharing while you stay with us.
In an effort to reduce plastic-I do provide some water bottles but I am very happy to refill your reusable bottles -as much and as often as you wish...

The space is in the basement of our house. Private walkout entrance to the garden. Basement is ground floor with heated floors , huge windows with 9’ ceilings, gas fireplace, new Queen bed. You have a private lounge area and private bathroom and access to an extensive library, and a movie theatre that we will make available to you on request. Our house was built 7 years ago. We have a Newfoundland puppy called Benny who is super gentle, friendly and welcoming....we are working on his manners....he may well pay you a visit or two....

Feltzen south is a small village with a mix of local residents and ‘summer’ residents. The people here are incredibly warm and friendly and full of interesting information. Don’t forget to wave as you drive by and if you want to stop and have a ‘yarn’ that would be just fine!

I am married to Nick, and we have a Newfoundland puppy named Benny.We left the big city of Toronto 8 years ago to live in a piece of paradise in Lunenburg Nova Scotia. I work for myself - and have become an avid gardener and cook. I am a lover of all animals - large and small - domestic and wild and thoroughly enjoy being able to see everything from herons to seals to deer and fox on our property. I love entertaining and sharing our little bit of heaven with others. We are very laid back - love to feed people and share the reasons we fell in love with this part of the world. The food, the people, the culture - the lack of pretense...all make living ion the East Coast a wonderful experience.
